I knew John Anderson personally.  He was my NCOIC at AFKN-Radio Gypsy, at Camp Kaiser, Korea.  Good man.  Died too young.

Remembering Det 5 -- today in history -- 1968 --
Detachment 5 AFVN Hue was overun.  After a fierce firefight AFVN'ers - both military and civilian -- died.  Others were taken prisoner and held till the end of the war.  It's a good day to remember these fine people.

Thanks for the memories Bob... I was on the staff at Dinfos (your former home) and Lt D's ([Det 5] OIC) wife worked in the Front office pregnant with twins.  Talk about not knowing how to start  a conversation.
