I can't place it either.

I'm trying to recall in my mind where that concrete set of steps was located on the radio station site at Da Nang in the picture on the right identified as Monkey Mountain

The jeeps picture reminds me of an incident.  The jeep of the 2-man transmitter team came under fire in 1971 with a couple of bullet holes in the windshield.  At least one of our crew, an officer, posed smiling for a picture beside the jeep.   A souvenir or something to send back home?   I missed out on that opportunity.

Here are a few more pics including the location (I am almost 100% sure) of the station today.

That is why I work my b*** off.  I'm trying to make a searchable, somewhat permanent history for all of us.

Amazing that our history and youth have been erased.

Whose tower is that in the background in the 2015 picture?  Surely AFVN didn't leave it there.

I looked on the website, but was unable to locate any photographs of the outside of the station on Monkey Mountain.  If anyone has some, would they post them to the Group.  Thanks.
